The Systems Engineer will have a methodical mindset able to elicit, balance and integrate stakeholders’ goals against their success criteria. This will be done by meeting the expectations of the customer which includes time constraints, cost constraints and quality delivery attainment. The Systems Engineer will apply the most suitable technology available to achieve the identified needs in a given context by co-ordinating the various disciplines (software, hardware, mechanical, human factors, for example) to engineer a product against a consistent understanding of needs.

The core responsibilities could cover:


  • Lead the requirements capture/generation process with the client gaining stakeholder agreement at each iterative stage
  • Produce the system definition for the assigned features or system
  • Generate use appropriate use cases
  • Use UML/SysML to model the feature experience

Experience typically requested by our clients: 


  • Working understanding of designing sector specific systems in accordance with the engineering V development lifecycle.
  • Ability to create system/control level requirements
  • Trained in the use of UML/SysML modelling language
  • Trained in the use of Enterprise Architect or equivalent
  • Experience of systems engineering and/or complex system integration
  • A good working knowledge of a Product Creation and Delivery Process or equivalent
  • Experience of UML/SysML to model the experience
  • Experience of modelling complex system requirements in Enterprise Architect/Rhapsody or equivalent
  • Project management experience (project planning and control, customer liaison , change control, risk / issue management
  • Experience using IBM Rational DOORS in creating control system requirements
  • Be qualified to degree level in Engineering discipline or have equivalent qualification and or experience in a relevant field
