My 21-year Automotive Engineering career path progressed from an apprentice draughtsman to a design engineer, project engineer, team manager, resource manager, and now as business owner/ Managing Director. With a mix of contract roles in the supply chain and OEM’s with both mechanical systems and electrical systems, I have been in your shoes at some stage.

Executive Consulting Director
The most exciting period of my 35 year life within Engineering was seeing the growth and development of EES Solutions the company I founded in 2006. A longstanding professional involvement in ADAS systems supports my continued interest in the development of autonomous cars.
My Christian faith is important to me and other interests include watching Burton Albion Football Club, motorsport and other non-strenuous forms of entertainment.
Having joined the family business in 2013 as admin support I have attained a level 4 AAT Accounting qualification and have now progressed to manage all of the company’s accounts and business adminstration.
Outside of work my life is very much focussed on my family and 2 dogs, I’m equally happy on a long family walk as I am on the sofa watching whichever Netflix series we’re currently addicted to.
Prior to joining EES I spent several years working for larger recruitment consultancies gaining an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the recruitment industry. I have worked with EES to help integrate the latest efficient business systems which allows me to spend more time with candidates.
I am driven to provide the best results for both clients and candidates. Outside of work I enjoy foreign travel and spending time with family and friends.
I completed my Ford sponsorship in 1998 moving to Jaguar Land Rover for the next 19 years. Initially as a design engineer in Electrical Engineering progressing to Senior Manager for Programme Strategy in Special Vehicle Operations. The most fulfilling part of my working life has been to mentor others and witness them reaching their potential. I am excited to continue my journey with people as part of the EES family.
When I am not in work I can be found on a fishing bank in Warwickshire attempting to catch carp.
After completing my apprenticeship at Reliant Motor company, I continued my automotive career in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Shift Management for some of the world’s leading 1st tier organisations. Reapplying this experience over the last 16 years in recruitment, working within the Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Nuclear sectors completing many assignments from Headhunt, Retained, and contingency work. I enjoy enabling people to fulfil their ambitions.
Outside of work, I am a keen Aston Villa supporter, enjoy a trip to the races and have two very active grandchildren
